This Day in Hip Hop History

Today, September 15th, marks anniversary of the release of Kid Cudi’s “Man on the Moon: The End of Days”. Cudi’s 2009 debut carried by singles, “Day ‘n’ Nite”, “Make Her Say”, and “Pursuit of Happiness” is generally considered the album that launched the rapper’s career, introducing him to mainstream. The album debuted at number 4 on the Billboard 200 and has been certified Gold, selling 104,000 copies in its first week. Also on this date, in 2009, Drake’s well recieved EP, “So Far Gone” was released.
