Today, October 28th, marks the day 18 years ago that 2Pac dropped what is, in my opinion as well as many others, one of the greatest rap songs ever in “Keep Ya Head Up” off his second album Strictly 4 My N.I.G.G.A.Z. Today also marks the day 14 years ago that Mase released his extremely well recieved debut, Harlem World, led by the single “Feel So Good”. The album went #1 on the Billboard and was eventually certified 3x platinum. Also, today 6 years ago, West Coast rapper, Game, and his entourage, were pepper-sprayed, arrested, and charged with resisting arrest and disorderly conduct in Greensboro, NC. The group was allegedly cursing at and filming shoppers in full-face Halloween masks, and refused to leave when asked. Game claimed he did nothing wrong and the officers who over-reacted. The officers would react to those statements, suing Game for defamation, a charge which has yet to see a court room. Lastly, today marks the day 7 years ago Eminem’s Sirius XM & Dish Network Satellite Radio Station, Shade 45, aired for the first time.
