Big Pun's Platinum Debut, "Capital Punishment"

Today, November 10, Daily $wagg wishes a few rappers Happy Birthday. We wish the artist behind the infamous G-Funk track, “Regulate”, Warren G, a happy 41st as well as well as former Aftermath and Ruff Ryders emcee, Eve, a happy 33rd. Today is also the 41st Birthday of Wu member, U-God. Most importantly, today is the would-be 40th Birthday of hispanic rap legend, Big Punisher. Big Pun was one of hip hop’s larger than life figures, weighing nearly 700 lbs. Pun is best known for his debut, Capital Punishment, which became the first album by a solo hispanic rapper to go platinum. It also was nominated for a Grammy led by the single, “Still Not  Player” featuring Joe.
